So after I spend a collective 60 hours or so on the gun models and such, along with the money to buy the resin, I get to discover that cardstock weapons are, in fact, too soft.
Unfortunately, this had lead to my abandonment of the models that I was so fond of. The pistol is now cracked in multiple places, and I don't even dare to touch the shotgun with any sanding for fear that it will simply fall apart.
Curse those minor parts which break so easily. >=
On that note, beware of AquaResin. It tends to try and cure really fast, regardless of temperature. You know, like while you're trying to paint it on your model. Eff.
ANYWAY, I haven't given up on the venture yet. I figure that the pepakura files can still be used for something: blueprints for wooden models! Because the prospect of sharp things and power tools don't intimidate me at all. *Shiver* Thankfully, for now, I can put the unfortunate things behind me and actually start working on the costume, because, quite frankly, the weapons are useless without the character.
I'll also be tracking my progress for the actual costume here with pictures, so keep an eye out for those. Also, I will hopefully be collaborating with a friend to feminize my Ezio costume, so watch for some of that, too.

It just captures that ridiculous paranoia that comes along with the game.
